INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
PARTS INCLUDED: 1-Stainless Laser Mesh Insert, 1-Promoter Tube
NOTE: THIS NEW AND UNIQUE GRILLE UPGRADE HAS BEEN DESIGNED TO BE INSTALLED OVER THE SRT10 V-10 ENGINE PLENUM COVER (Part# ACC-V3PT1300-A).
1. Your new Grille Insert comes to
you flat and will need to be hand formed in order to fit the shape
and contour of our plenum cover. This part of the installation is very
CRITICAL due to the fact that there will be a minimal area of bond.
Although the attachment tape will be very reliable long term it will not be
sufficient enough to force the grille to shape and contour the part.
Without removing the clear top liner or the bottom Red liner - simply gently
hand form the grille to contour to the plenum cover so that it will look
attached by just simply setting it in place. When doing this if you
see any minute gaps adjust the shape of the grille to eliminate the gap
until perfectly seated. Once bent to shape it will stay in that shape over
the long term with a solid bond to our Plenum Cover
(part
ACC-V3PT1300-A).
2. Now that you have shaped the new grille just right the next step will be to prep the area to receive the new grill. Thoroughly clean the plenum cover to remove any and all wax or dirt from the inner edge of the stainless plenum cover. Do this with rubbing alcohol being very careful not to scratch the area outside of the bonding surface. The bonding surface is about a quarter inch side all the way around the perimeter. Then using the adhesive promoter provided, apply a single swipe to the area where the Grille will be mounted and allow it to dry.
3. Now that every thing is ready, peel the Red release backing from the back of the new Grille and carefully set the Grille in place. Press firmly along the three edges to set. Allow this grille to remain set in position overnight before any heat of the engine occurs. This will allow the grille to cure its bond for a nice long lasting secure installation.NOTE: The back of your Laser Mesh Grille is suspended and not touching any surface.
 You need to have this (part ACC-V3PT1300-A) for your new Laser Mesh Plenum Insert to fit. Your new Laser Mesh Insert will fit on top of this part. |
