POLISHED STAINLESS HOOD SCOOP TRIM PLATE

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Included: Hood Scoop Trim Plate, Chrome vinyl trim strip, packet of Adhesive Promoter
Your new hood scoop plate comes to you with a clear protective liner. Do not remove this liner until your installation is complete!

Scrub your
entire are to be mounted first with soap and water, dry the area and
then clean the area with household isopropyl alcohol found at any
hardware store. Wipe off any and all residue.

Your new trim
plate comes to you pre-shaped, however it will be necessary to
further shape (bend) it by hand in order to achieve a nice flat fit
without forcing. Once you are satisfied with its overall fit and
contour to the hood, make note or mark its position with a grease
pencil.
- Swipe the area where the trim piece will be covering once with the adhesive promoter (provided).

Peel red liner
from the underside and slowly and carefully re-position the plate
into place.
NOTE: YOU ONLY HAVE ONE SHOT AT THE FINAL PLACEMENT so you may want to make a couple dry runs before actually mounting the trim plate. Once you stick it on it is permanent.
- Now take the Chrome vinyl trim strip. Peel back a couple inches of the red backing. Line-up one end to fit precisely in the triangle edge. Press the strip on tightly. Then slowly work the trim strip around the Hood Scoop edge removing the red backing as you go. Practice lining the trim strip up before mounting it.
- Once you have successfully mounted it into position, press firmly over the entire plate to set then remove the protective liner. DO NOT GET WET FOR 24 HOURS.
