INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Do not remove your new sill’s protective liner until step 3.
We highly recommend that you read through the instructions once before beginning.

1.  Your new sills come to you pre-formed however it will be necessary to shape them by hand in order to achieve a nice contoured fit.
Before you begin remove the factory screw in the sill area and apply some masking tape to the sill area to protect your painted surfaces from the sharp edges of the sills while you are installing them.  You will remove the tape later.
After this is complete lay the doorsill into position and make note of the area and form your sill by hand until a nice contoured fit is achieved. You may have to do this several times to get the fit just right. After this step has been accomplished your doorsill should fit into position nicely without forcing it into place. In other words, it should look as if it is installed with it just lying in position.

2.  You have been supplied with 3 stainless steel washers. Place these washers over the three factory holes. Now you may remove the protective masking tape from the sill area. Wipe the entire sill area with household’ Isopropyl Alcohol’ then wipe away any and all residues. Now wipe the area once with the adhesive promoter provided.

3.  Remove the red liner from the attachment tape and carefully reposition the sill over the factory holes and set sill in position.
BE SURE NOT TO SHOVE WASHERS OUT OF POSITION.
Press firmly to set. Realign the washers to the hole using a Phillips screwdriver and install all three factory screws. Remove protective plastic liner from the top of the sill.

4.  You have been provided with six chrome screw covers for your new sills. Apply a SMALL dab of household clear silicone to the underside of three of the chrome caps and position them over the factory screws. Allow to set.
IMPORTANT NOTE:  Finally you will notice a small plastic stud protruding on the underside of the door itself. This white stud is a redundant wire harness fastener. Simply press this stud back into the door or trim away the excess to gain adequate clearance for you new sill and to avoid minor damage to your sill when closing the door.

5.
Repeat steps 1-4 for the opposite side.
