DODGE VIPER III REAR VALANCE TRIM KIT
PART #V3RV105

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
PARTS
INCLUDED:
8-Stainless Fin Diffusers Covers
4-Strips of Chrome Molding
3- Promoter Packs
NOTE:
Your new covers come to you with a protective liner. Do not remove liner
until step 3.
-
Prepare each of the
four fins by first washing with soap and water to remove any dirt, dust.
Then scrub with household rubbing alcohol to remove any and all waxes and
oils. Allow to dry.
-
You have been provided
with four (2-pc) sets of fin covers. Each cover has been layered with a
3M attachment tape. Test fit each plate before you remove the red liner by
simply placing each one into position first to make a mental note of where
each cover fits. Be sure that the covers line up flush with the very
bottom and back edge of the fin (the largest side closest to the bumper).
-
Then swipe over the
entire area with the adhesive promoter packs (provided). Each packet
does four (4) fins.
-
Once you are satisfied
with the position of your covers remove the red liner from the attachment
tape of the first stainless steel fin cover. Carefully position the piece
so that the bottom is even and flush with the black fin attached to the
car. Press firmly over the entire surface to enable the tape to set.
Repeat this process for the opposite side of the fin.
NOTE: It is critical
that the bottoms of the fins line up perfectly so that when you put the
edge molding on it will set level.
-
You have been provided
with four chrome molding strips. This molding is used to close the gap
between the two covers of each fin. It simply acts as an edge cap. Simply
place the strip into position pulling the red release liner as you firmly
set the flex trim along the fin edge and between the two edges of
stainless. Work your way from one end to the other until the gap between
the two pieces is covered. Repeat this process for the remaining fins. You
may have to stretch the flex trim slightly if it comes up a little short
or trim it with scissors if it comes up slightly too long.

Note:
Care must be taken when
cleaning your stainless. It is a good idea to lightly dust your stainless
with a clean soft cloth first in order to prevent any particles from
scratching them. Then wipe (using a new clean soft cloth) with a good
quality streak free glass cleaner. It is also a good idea to add a light
coat of wax such as a quick spray wax.
